This study aims to analyze the influence of Language Literacy on Academic Writing Ability with Artificial Intelligence as a mediating variable in Ambon State Polytechnic students. Academic writing ability is one of the important competencies that students must have in producing quality scientific work. However, the development of Artificial Intelligence technology has changed the learning patterns and academic writing processes of students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was Ambon State Polytechnic students, with a sample of 50 respondents determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 4. The results of the study indicate that Language Literacy has a positive and significant effect on Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence has a positive and significant effect on Academic Writing Ability, while Language Literacy has a positive but insignificant effect on Academic Writing Ability. In addition, Artificial Intelligence is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between Language Literacy and Academic Writing Ability. The results of the study indicate that Artificial Intelligence acts as a full mediator in this relationship. This finding indicates that the improvement of students' academic writing ability is not only determined by language literacy skills, but also by the ability to utilize Artificial Intelligence effectively in the learning process and academic writing.
